The Achensee Steam Rack Railway, in operation since 1889

The starting point for the journey is the Achensee Railway Station in Jenbach, from where it takes a steep route up the mountain to the Achensee. Schwaz Silver Mine
The Schwaz Silver Mine (approx. 7 km away from our hotel) invites you to go on an adventurous underground journey into the past. The silver from Schwaz and the wealth which it generated was the reason that famous artists, architects and master builders visited and moved there. In the latter Middle Ages, it paved the way for the reign of the Habsburg Monarchy. Experience a part of Central European history in the Schwaz Silver Mine - it's definitely well worth a visit!
